| I ordered this as a healthy breakfast option for myself and my family. However, it wasn't until I received it that I read the ingredient/allergen statement on the canister to find it was manufactured in a facility with NUTS. I have 2 kids that are fatally allergic to tree nuts, so we can't use this product. It would have been nice to know before I ordered it. Even on the company's website, they do not list these allergens. Instead of having to pay to ship it back, I donated it to a 'soup kitchen'. I have no idea if it is good or not, I never opened the can. BTW - the TVP I ordered from them was the same. Donated that, too. I won't order anything from this company again, not just because of the tree nut contamination, but because they were not sensitive to individuals out there that may suffer food allergies. I much prefer to give my hard earned money to a company that goes the extra step to list their allergens up front, or better yet, use a dedicated allergen-free facility! |
